The Oran Olympic complex, with 40,000 seats, brings together all the equipment necessary to hold any Olympic event: nautical center, training stadiums, hotels and Olympic villages. With this investment, Algeria shows its capacity to host all types of sporting and cultural events, national and international. In a context of great seismicity, the choice of structure is essential and is revealed as the founder of the project.

The structure is modulated: every 5 concrete pillars we have an independent element, which avoids overall seismic effects. We thus study separate modules that have a more natural and probable behavior. Despite this division, the stadium presents an image of structures woven into a gigantic mesh thanks to the visual continuity of the roof. Beyond the technical challenges linked to this unusual scale, it is a fine work in detail that reveals all the richness of this project.
