Roland Garros Center Court Press Tribunes
Two-story building in height with a metal structure with spans of 7 and 14 meters.
Complex structures
2008
In 1999, the modernization of the Roland Garros Center Court began with the complete rehabilitation of stands A and B. Stand C, dedicated in its upper part to the media, is a new project, destined to become the new façade of the Philippe Chatrier track facing the city. The television booths are located on two levels, bordered by exterior walkways with wooden paving.
These two floors are supported by an extraordinarily light steel structure, a true technical feat given the sections and significant slenderness of the elements. The building rests on a linear piece with a variable semi-elliptical section articulated upright and anchored horizontally on the stands, leaving vertical movement free. These 15 meter high pillars, spaced 4.5 or 9 meters apart, elegantly renew the exterior image of the Center Court, respecting the tradition of Roland Garros.
