Bridges over the highway in Mascara

A dozen reinforced and prestressed concrete road bridges of different types have been designed and calculated: beam bridges, slab bridges and box bridges. This definition work has the condition of finding ourselves in an area of very important seismicity and with the objective of prioritizing economy and safety over final aesthetics. The strength of concrete is also limited by transportation conditions. The result is very simple bridges, with proportions adjusted to their function and characteristics, in which we apply a sober design, taking care of the details to reinforce the simplicity of the intervention in a very beautiful landscape that stands out from the layout of the road.
